Throughout this web site you will come across an individual's page that is headed "Private" that show no name.
These pages belong to individuals that I believe are still alive*. In order to preserve these individual's privacy I will not publish their names.

I have two exceptions to this rule:
1. Where the individual concerned as given permission for their details to be published, and
2. Where the birth information is available on a public we site. ie A baptism record from the Forest of Dean Family History web site.

Details obtained from subscription web sites such as Genes Reunited and Ancestry will not be published as I am uncertain whether they comply with the above two exceptions.
Identity Theft

Publication of personal details such as birth date, birth place and full names on genealogy web sites can lead to that person's identity being stolen and used illegally.

As a family historian who has received research assistance from many generous fellow family historian I appreciate that tracking your family is a shared experience. When requested, I willingly share my family tree data, including details of living individuals, with fellow researchers provided they agree to my privacy policy of not publishing details of any living person.
